How to Use and Import Procreate Stamps

Did you know that Procreate stamps are basically Procreate brushes with a defined shape? Just like Procreate brushes you can reuse Procreate stamps over and over without having to copy and paste, saving you a ton of time. In this tutorial, we will go through how to import Procreate stamps on an iPad and how to use them. There are also two design examples at the end to give you some ideas of what you can do with Procreate stamps.

Before we begin, you will need to purchase some Procreate stamps. We offer a whole list of Procreate stamps to purchase, but if you are just starting out and simply want to practice, we also have some free Procreate stamps available to download. For this tutorial, we will be using the Floral Procreate Stamp Bundle.

Import Procreate Stamps

First, you will need to download the product from Design Bundles. Then you will need to unzip the file. We have guides on how to unzip on iPad, and how to unzip on Windows if needed.

Import From Outside Procreate

Simply tap the unzipped file in the Downloads folder to import the Procreate stamps automatically.

Import Within Procreate

You can also import from within Procreate if you don’t want to leave the app.

Step 1 - Import From Procreate Brush Library

Open the Brush Library in Procreate, and tap the + icon.

Step 2 - Import Button

Tap Import at the top right.

Step 3 - Select Unzipped Procreate Stamp File

Next, locate and select the unzipped file in the Downloads folder to import the Procreate stamps.

The imported Procreate stamps can now be found in your Brush Library.

Using the Procreate Stamps

Changing a few basic settings such as the size, opacity, and color can easily give you the ability to do so much with Procreate stamps. Because Procreate stamps are essentially brushes, there are many more advanced brush settings you can change. Change the Procreate Stamp Size

You can use the brush size slider to change the size of Procreate stamps. The following image shows a Procreate stamp at sizes 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%.

Adjust Procreate Stamp Opacity

You can use the opacity slider to change the opacity. The following image shows a Procreate stamp at opacity settings of 100%, 75%, 50%, and 25%.

Select the Procreate Stamp Color

To change the color of a Procreate stamp, tap the color circle in the top-right corner to open the color palette panel. Pick any color.
