How to Use the Offset Tool
Sometimes a font you want to use for a project is too thin to cut. This is often the case forcursive handwritten fonts. The offset tool is great for making text thicker.
1- Open Silhouette Studio.
2- Type out a word using the Text tool.
3- Add some spacing between each character so there is room for the offset lines.
4- Click on the offset tool, then hit Offset, input the distance, and hit apply.
5- Delete the original word.You'll want to group it back together since they are now separate shapes to the software.
Now you have a word thick enough for your next project!
