Phaedra is a serif typeface with nostalgic undertones and a warm and friendly feel. This typeface was influenced by various trends from the Art Nouveau movement as well as popular typefaces frequently used in both the 1960s and 1970s.
Phaedra has a somewhat organic look with its egg-shaped O, swan-like S, and large upper bowls of the P and R. The lowercase letters a, h, m and n all have a distinct sloped shoulder and the e has an angled cross-stroke. There is also a diagonal emphasis on the counter of the g and o, and you will find that there are alternates of both letters that more reflect the egg-shape of the uppercase O.
Phaedra is excellent for achieving a retro and vintage look, and is perfect for logos, posters, advertising, and any other sort of display work.
