Using the foil quill on ribbon with Brother scan and cut machine

*CM900 model used.

1- Place your ribbon on your cutting mat. make sure it is secured well and is perfectly flat.

2- On your machines screen select pattern.

3- At this point you can import a design from canvas workspace or choose a preset design. I will use a preset design today.

4- Select your design.

5- Click on set if you are happy with the size.

6- You can also fill your design at this point by clicking the fill icon. (note you have 5 different fill designs that can be changed in settings before you foil your design.)

7- Scan your mat and then with the media clear on the screen position your design over the ribbon. Click OK.

8- Click draw. You can here also click settings and change the fill type. For ribbon i use the setting speed 2 and pressure 1

9- Place the foil over the ribbon and secure. then click the start icon and your quill will start to foil the ribbon.

10 - Your design is now on your ribbon.
You can also place a longer piece on your mat and foil vertical so you can do lengths longer than the mat.
