How to Install Fonts on a Windows PC or Mac

Fonts are a great asset to all of your design needs. Use commercial use fonts in your branding, digital design projects, websites, and more. But before we can start using fonts, we need to learn how to install the fonts to your device.

How to Install Fonts on Windows

1. Download Fonts to PC

Once you’ve found a font from FontBundles.net that you’d love to use for your project, head to your downloads page. I’m installing the Wished font from KA Designs.

Once you're at your Purchase history page, click on the green Download file button, then click on the TTF or OTF font file that has dropped down below. If a zip folder is shown instead, you can click on that file.

2. Locate the file

Locate the file in your Downloads folder on your computer. If the file came zipped, you will need to unzip it first. We have a guide here on how to Unzip on Windows.

Once extracted a new window will appear with your files. Click on the font folder.

*Do not click on the MacOSX folder. These files will not install properly on your PC. The folder you want will be below.

Find the font file and right-click on it.

3. Install the font to PC

After right clicking on the font file, you should see this menu appear. Click on "Install for All Users".

You can now use the font in any program that allows for fonts. You may need to restart the program for the font to show up. Now that you’ve installed the fonts on your PC, learn how to use Alternate Glyphs on Windows.

How to Install Fonts on Mac

1. Download Fonts to Mac

Follow the steps in the previous instructions on how to download the font from your Font Bundles purchases.

2. Locate the file

Locate your Downloads folder on your Mac by opening Finder and selecting Download on the left. If a zip folder has been downloaded, you can double click on the folder to automatically unzip the file.

3. Install Fonts on Mac

Right click on the font and click Open With > Font Book.

A popup will appear, click Install Font.

Your font is now installed onto your Mac. Font Book should now open and you can see the font has been installed.

You can now use the font in any program that allows fonts such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, etc. You may need to restart the program to see the font appear on the list.
