How to Add a Vignette to Photos in Pixascape

You can quickly and simply create elegant photos in Pixascapeby adding a vignette. A vignette darkens and feathers the borders of a photo to help draw viewers' attention to specific parts of that photo.

Let's first open an image in Pixascape. This adorable sleeping baby photo is perfect for this tutorial.

Step 1 - Access the Vignette Tool

To access the vignette tool, click Vignette in the Edit panel.

Step 2 - Adjust Vignette Settings

You can change the vignette shape, color, opacity, and location.

Select a Vignette Shape

Radial is selected by default, but you can change it to Square or Linear.

Radial

Radial will give you a round vignette. You will see three blue buttons on a dotted circle.

The two blue rounded square buttons allow you to adjust the circle's size vertically and horizontally. Using these buttons, you can make the vignette oval-shaped.

The blue circle button allows you to change the size of the shape uniformly.

Square

The Square shape option will give you a square or rectangular vignette. A dotted square with three blue buttons will appear on your photo when you click Square. The blue buttons on the dotted square work the same way as the blue buttons on the Radial shape.

Linear

Linear will give you a vignette that runs in a straight line. When you click on Linear, two horizontal dotted lines with a blue button on each one will appear across your image. The blue rounded square button allows you to adjust the size of the linear vignette.

Use the blue circle button to rotate the linear vignette.

Choose a Vignette Color

The default color is black. You can click the color square to change the color of the vignette.

Set the Opacity

Use the blue sliding bar to change the opacity of the vignette. The opacity is set to 30% by default.

Move Vignette Around

Simply click on the vignette and drag it to another location.

Step 3 - Reset Vignette Settings if Needed

If you would like to revert the color, opacity, size, and location of the vignette shape to its default settings, click the Reset button located to the right of the Linear button.

Step 4 - Apply Vignette to Photo

Once you are happy with how your photo looks, click the blue Apply button to commit the changes and apply the vignette to your photo.
