The Best Mirror Fonts for Trendy Designs

Have you caught the design bug with these mirrored font graphics and designs? Scroll around Facebook for a moment, stop in a crafting or font group, and you'll see just what I mean! Sometimes you'll see these referred to as "stacked font" or even "mirror it" fonts. It's incredibly easy to create a striking design, perfect for t-shirts or decals when you're working with the right tools. While you can absolutely edit and tweak any number of different fonts to get this effect, you can also find some fabulous options and unique versions with the style you're looking for. You can't beat an installable font that works instantly, saving you time and effort! Head on over to Design School and check out the How To Create Stacked Text tutorial to learn all the details if you want to DIY this style.

The best of these fonts are ones that are created with a serif or sans serif typeface. That's because it's easier to read, and we all know how important readability is. Occasionally you'll find a handwritten version as well. As this typeface style becomes more popular, the number of options in the marketplace is sure to increase. Graphic designs using mirror fonts are often created using a horizontal orientation, but there are a few different ways to create text effects for different orientations like flag, rise, etc. if you want to jazz it up. Let's take a look at these amazing stacked fonts!

1. Rainbow Created by KA Designs

Popular font designer, KA Designs has created this fun font called Rainbow. This one is so incredibly popular that you probably even recognize it! A rounded sans serif, Rainbow is available as both OTF and TTF and can be used in pretty much any program from Silhouette Studio to Adobe Illustrator. It's a little bit quirky with the angles not quite centered, giving it a whimsical feel.

If you're looking for a serif style in a stacked font, then check out Elizea! The edges and points are slightly rounded, lending a softer feel to this typeface, while still maintaining the classic serif elements. Many of these mirrored typefaces are considered display fonts, meaning that they should be used for short bodies of text, rather than for large sections like articles, etc. Mix and match your colors for a fun vibe, and use Elizea for cards, poster art, packaging, and more.

3. Mirror Heart Font Created by Caty Catherine

This particular font is a little different than others you'll see in the same style. Rather than the characters having that mirrored effect, it's the heart shape that has been mirrored. Use this beauty for creating heart-themed projects that would be perfect for Valentine's Day, weddings, anniversaries, and much more. Available as an OTF file format, you can easily install and use this style just like any other. Edit the hearts to create a colored effect, or leave them all the same. The options are endless!
