Sadstory
Sad Font
A sad font can be quietly elegant or visibly cracked, and this collection holds both. Handwritten scripts like Crying Tonight, Sadgirl and Melancholy sit beside a futuristic Melancholy serif and broken display faces such as Broken Stroke and Distressed. Files come in OTF and TTF, with over 800 to browse.

Broken font styles and melancholy scripts for moody design
Several fonts share the Melancholy name, including a hand-drawn script, a signature style and a futuristic display serif. A melancholy font like the signature version suits poetry posts, journaling and breakup quotes, while Crying Tonight and Feeling Bad have the raw, handwritten look that song lyric graphics and emo playlist covers need.
When the message itself needs to look damaged, a broken font such as the bold display sans Broken Stroke, or the distressed font simply called Distressed, carries album covers, grunge band flyers and horror posters. Install the OTF or TTF file before opening your design app, following this Windows and Mac install guide. For other strong moods, try Epic Font or Skate Font. Each of these fonts is part of a Font Bundles membership, and the Unlimited plan opens up unlimited downloads with a Premium & POD commercial license.
